Andrew started out working for a lawn treatment service, and joined Repton School 14 years ago where he worked his way up to Head of Grounds and Gardens.

His team looks after 17 hectares of grounds, cross the senior and prep school sites, which include:  24 football pitches; five cricket squares; 15 hard surfaces tennis courts; four running tracks marked on grass; one water-based artificial turf surface, one sand-dressed artificial surface and one hybrid sports pitch.

As well as traditional sports, the surfaces also accommodate rounders, tug of war, shot - putt, discus and javelin and Kwik Cricket.
