Howard began his career, after graduating with a degree in Environmental Biology, working for a Wildlife Trust before transitioning into greenkeeping. After five years as a Greenkeeper, Howard made the move into golf club management, firstly at BGL Golf, then onto Berkhamsted Golf Club in Hertfordshire. Howard has recently moved to a new multi-site owner in the South of England as their Head of Golf.

Howard is a passionate advocate for golf making a positive impact on nature in ways that is complimentary to both the agronomy of a course as well as the commercial aspects of a site.

Recently, Howard has been involved in projects including the re-introduction of grazing to a golf course, water resilience planning and biodiversity net gain opportunities on golf courses.
