78 YEARS OF TRADE SHOW EXPERIENCE

SALTEX, or the National Association of Groundsmen Annual Exhibition as it was originally named, was first held in 1938 at the Hurlingham Club. Despite an eight-year hiatus during the Second World War and a one-year break during the Covid-19 pandemic, SALTEX, now in its 78th show, continues to be recognised as the premier event for grounds staff and those working in the grounds care sector.

ADAPTING TO CHANGE

Since its first show, SALTEX has adapted to change and sought new ways to better serve the grounds care community. This has involved changing locations a number of times throughout its history, moving to Windsor in 1979 where it was eventually renamed to the Sports Amenities Landscaping Turf Exhibition, or SALTEX for short, in 1994.

STRENGTH TO STRENGTH

SALTEX continues to grow from strength to strength and is now not only the longest-running trade show in the sector, but also the largest, attracting the highest number of visitors and exhibitors of any show for the grounds care sector in Europe.

HOUSED UNDER ONE ROOF

SALTEX was moved to the NEC Birmingham for its 70th anniversary, following exhibitor and visitor feedback. At the NEC, visitors from across the globe can see industry names in a convenient, well-connected location and under one roof, without weather being able to disrupt the show.
